Sean Paul is a father again.

Congratulations are in order for International Dancehall artiste, Sean Paul and his media personality wife, Jodi Henriques (otherwise known as Jinx), who welcomed their second child this week. Jinx shared a photo of her and their newborn daughter on her Instagram story earlier this week with the caption “Remi Leigh Henriques.”

Their baby girl was born on Tuesday, August 20, in a Canada hospital.

The Reggae/Dancehall legend spoke with The Jamaica Observer last week and said, “Everyone has always told me how special it is to leave a legacy here on Earth. It is the only form of immortality that we know of at this point. It is something that I am very proud of, and of course, there is a lot of anxiety as you worry about how he (his son) will be affected by different things happening here on Earth and in the country itself, so I try to be a good parent, leading by example.”

The couple were in a longterm relationship prior to getting married in 2012. In August 2016, they announced that they were expecting their first child who was born on February 26, 2017. In February of this year, Sean Paul announced that they were expanding their family. Both Jodi and Sean broke the news on their separate Instagram accounts. Their heir, Levi Blaze will be a big brother to sister Remi Leigh. Dutty Paul is yet to say anything publicly, but surely the International Dancehall superstar is excited about his first little girl.

The 46-year old father of two will be honored by the Government of Jamaica with the Order of Distinction on October 21 at King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica. He is slated to receive this honor in the rank of commander for contribution to the global popularity and promotion of reggae music.

The “Fast & Furious” actor topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid male actors of 2019 Wednesday, as he raked in a total income of $89.4 million over the past year.

The 47-year-old movie star will earn an upfront salary of up to $23.5 million for “Jumanji: Next Level” — making the film his highest paycheck yet — and also commands up to 15% from the first “Jumanji” film which grossed $962.1 million worldwide in 2017.

For his work on the small screen, The Rock takes in $700,000 per episode of HBO show “Ballers” and earns seven figures in royalties from clothing brand Under Armour.

Johnson also took the title of the highest-paid actor in 2016 but he came in second place in 2017 and in 2018.

Trailing behind Johnson in second place this year was Chris Hemsworth who earned $76.4 million and in third came Robert Downey Jr. who took in $66 million.

Others listed in the top 10 highest-paid actors this year included Akshay Kumar ($65 million), Jackie Chan ($58 million), Bradley Cooper ($57 million), Adam Sandler ($57 million), Chris Evans ($43.5 million), Paul Rudd ($41 million), and Will Smith ($35 million).

Miley Cyrus was blindsided by estranged husband Liam Hemsworth’s decision to officially end their marriage, according to a new report.

The Australian actor filed to divorce Cyrus, 26, on Wednesday, and while the news didn’t come as a shock to many outside the relationship, People magazine reported Cyrus wasn’t expecting the split so soon.

“She didn’t expect it and is a bit disappointed, but she is still doing well and has obviously moved on as well,” a Cyrus insider told the outlet after the divorce filing.

“What she and Liam had for a long time was very special," the source added. "It’s just hard for her to think that she will never have this again with Liam. There are really so many things that she loves about him."

People reported that Hemsworth, 29, cited “irreconcilable differences” in the couple’s eight-month marriage, and a rep for Cyrus confirmed in a statement to People on Aug. 10 that the A-list couple had called it quits – while a source alleged to the magazine that the pair had split months prior to the separation.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” the statement read. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Hemsworth has spoken out publicly since Cyrus announced the split, writing on Instagram: “Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”

In a report published Wednesday, a source told People that despite Cyrus' over-the-top antics – including "basically having sex" in public with Kaitlynn Carter and releasing a song hinting that Hemsworth's alleged penchant for "whiskey and pills" were to blame for their breakup – she "didn't want to hurt" the "Hunger Games" star.

\Cyrus and Hemsworth tied the knot in December 2018 after losing their Malibu home in a wildfire. The Lion King has surpassed the long-ruling princesses of Arendelle, hitting a global box office of $1.334 billion as of Aug. 11 after opening in Japan — which puts it above Frozen's $1.276 billion, according to BoxOfficeMojo.

This year's "reimagining" of the beloved 1994 classic had a pretty lukewarm reception from critics, but the combination of 90s nostalgia and present-day Beyoncé seems to have worked better than distracting a mob of hyenas with an impromptu hula.

You could argue that its position atop the animated pile is a little tenuous given that it's part of Disney's slate of "live-action" remakes, but come on: "Photorealistic CGI" is still animation. Those are not real lions. (Sorry again.)

Also not in doubt: as well as becoming the 12th-highest grossing release ever, The 2019 Definitely Not Live-Action Lion King has also overtaken 2017's Beauty and the Beast as the most successful of Disney's remakes.

Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner celebrates her 22nd birthday like a true billionaire.

Kylie Jenner is known for throwing lavish parties and going on some rather extravagant overseas birthday excursions. The Kylie Cosmetics CEO will be celebrating her 22nd Birthday on August 10th, but the celebration started way before. On Monday, Kylie’s rapper boyfriend and father of her child, Travis Scott gifted the beauty mogul thousands of red roses that were reportedly estimated to cost $25,000. Naturally, Jenner took to social media to share the romantic gesture.

“My house is covered in ROSES! @TravisScott and it’s not even my Birthday yet!!!! OMG,” she wrote on her Instagram. The floor of Kylie’s foyer was completely redecorated with red rose petals. The card from her ‘hubby’ read “Happy Birthday!!! We’re just getting started. Love you!!!”

Travis could not have said it better as they were in fact, just getting started. The couple has since flown to Italy where they have been hanging out on a Yacht with family and friends and of course their baby girl, Stormi Webster. According to E News, an eyewitness shared that “Kylie and Travis left the Tranquility yacht on Wednesday night for dinner in Positano. They took their small boat to shore and were taken to Il San Pietro Hotel for a meal at Zass on a cliff overlooking the sea,” the source said.

An insider also shared that Kylie and Travis have been talking more about baby number 2 than getting married and that the couple is hoping to give Stormi a little sibling next year. This all sounds very appropriate for someone with a net worth of one billion dollars if I do say so myself.

Kylie’s official get-down will be on Saturday, which is her actual Birthday. Insiders say that the classy event will be an all-white affair. The price tag will certainly be exorbitant, but the question is, what do you get someone who has everything? That is probably what Travis Scott is asking himself right now. For Kylie’s 21st Birthday last year, Travis bought her a white vintage Rolls Royce. Just a little something to add to her luxurious collection. Can Travis outdo himself this year? I guess we will have to wait and see what out-of-our-budgets escapades will come next.

Ed Sheeran carved out a piece of music history for himself.

British hit-maker, Ed Sheeran sets another record by achieving the highest-grossing tour of all time with his “Divide Tour.” Sheeran has played 246 shows across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and North and South America. His August 2, 2019 show in Odense, Denmark pushed him over the edge, grossing $6,862,620 in one night. Reports by Billboard Boxscore are that the “Divide Tour” has grossed a whopping $737.9 million and sold 8,503,496 tickets.

Ed’s tour is still in progress, so when it ends, he will set the bar even higher for his anyone trying to break his record. “The ‘Divide Tour’ has nine dates left to play and will finish on August 26 in Chantry Park, Ipswich, England,” Billboard reports. “With a projected gross of $770-775 million.”

The record was previously held by the band U2 whose “360° Tour” grossed $736.4 million during its run in 2009-2011. This is in the same lane as Ed Sheeran, but it’s definitely the less appealing sportscar. Before them is The Rolling Stones’ whose “A Bigger Bang Tour” grossed $558 million, then Guns N’ Roses’ who grossed $529.6 million with their “Not in This Lifetime… Tour”, and Coldplay’s “A Head Full of Dreams Tour” which grossed $523.3 million. So as you can see, the uber-talented Ed Sheeran did not only take the record; he absolutely smashed it.

Ed Sheeran is popularly known for hits like “Thinking Out Loud” and “Shape of You.” The West Yorkshire born singer has also written songs for other successful acts like Justin Bieber, One Direction, Rita Ora and The Weeknd.

The English redhead is no stranger to enormous success. In 2017, Ed Sheeran was named Billboard’s Top Artist and his song ‘Shape of You’ was the top Hot 100 song of the year. Last month, he released his ‘No. 6 Collaborations Project’ which features collabs with Eminem, Travis Scott, Cardi B and more. The project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

A film project that was already fairly “Huh, really?” got even “Huh, really?”-er today, as THR reports that Wesley Snipes has signed on to co-star in Coming 2 America.

The Eddie Murphy/Arsenio Hall sequel—a 31-years-later follow-up to the odyssey of Prince Akeem, Soul Glo, and the McDowell’s restaurant dynasty—is being directed by Craig Brewer, best known for Hustle And Flow. (The original was directed by John Landis, although, infamously, not without a great deal of friction between himself and Murphy on the set.)

Snipes—who worked with Murphy and Brewer on the upcoming Rudy Ray Moore biopic, Dolemite Is My Name—will reportedly play General Izzi, a man who runs a country near Akeem’s fictional land of Zamunda. (At long last, we said to ourselves, a Coming To America willing to truly engage with the nuances of African power politics and strongmen military leaders!) Meanwhile, Akeem himself will be, well, returning to the States—there’s gotta be a catchier, more Neil Diamond-y phrase for that, right?—in pursuit of his long-lost son. The film is currently aimed at an August 7, 2020 release date.

Katy Perry and others on her team must pay a Christian rapper $2.78 million after a jury found that she had improperly copied a portion of his song for her own hit “Dark Horse.”

Marcus Gray and two coauthors filed the copyright infringement lawsuit five years ago, alleging Perry and her producers stole a key 16-second musical riff from their rap song “Joyful Noise,” which was released under the stage name Flame in 2009.

“Dark Horse,” a single from Perry’s 2013 album Prism, spent four weeks at No. 1 and was nominated for a Grammy.

Gray’s team had reportedly pushed the jury to award them nearly $20 million, noting “Dark Horse” had grossed about $41 million. Perry’s attorneys had argued for damages to be around $360,000.

Of the financial penalty, a jury determined that Perry is responsible for just over $550,000, with Capitol Records responsible for the majority of the tab, the Associated Press reported. It was not immediately clear how much others involved in writing the song, including producer Dr. Luke, were on the hook for.

During the trial phase, Perry’s attorneys argued that the song’s creators hadn’t heard of “Joyful Noise” and don’t listen to Christian rap. They also contended the elements of the riff are so basic that they should be available to all songwriters.

But on Monday, the nine-member jury — which also decided the financial penalty — disagreed after analyzing both tracks and hearing hours of testimony from music and sound experts.

It’s unclear how much of the penalty Perry will have to pay, given that contracts often include stipulations that indemnify the artists to some degree from financial damages.

A representative for Perry could not immediately be reached for comment.

Keyshia Cole and her boyfriend Niko Khale have welcomed their baby boy and here is the first photo.

Khale confirmed that the R&B singer gave birth to a healthy baby boy late Thursday (August 1st) evening after going in labor a couple of hours prior. The 23-year-old shared a photo of Keyshia Cole’s 9-year-old son, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr., holding his baby brother. Gibson Jr. is the singer’s son with estranged ex-husband, Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson. “Big brother vibe,” he wrote before adding “Baby boy is here Yall OMG” while posting a short video clip.

This is Keyshia Cole and Niko Khale’s first child together. The 37-year-old has a son from her previous relationship with former NBA player Daniel Gibson, who she filed for divorce from. The R&B songstress and her boo have been dating for a few years, and it appears that they’re going strong despite previous rumors that they were going through a rough patch.

Busta Rhymes was reportedly involved in yet another altercation. This time, the Flipmode Squad OG was met by police at London’s Heathrow Airport after he got into a fight with a first-class passenger aboard a British Airways flight on Monday night (July 29).

According Daily Mail U.K., Busta boarded the flight shortly before the doors closed with five carry-on bags and angrily wanted to know, “Who’s got all their stuff in my locker?”

Witnesses said he became “agitated, aggressive and rude” as he threw insults at a British woman on the flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport to London.

An unnamed passenger told the Daily Mail, “Busta got on the plane and saw that this woman had put her luggage in his section of the overhead locker. He turned around and demanded to know whose stuff it was. This British woman stood up and said the bags belonged to her. He was ranting and raving, getting really angry and demanding to know why she had used his locker.

“He told her to move her stuff immediately. He began shouting and behaving extremely aggressively and the woman was getting more and more upset, she began crying. As she got more and more tearful, her husband, who is British and works in London as a trader, intervened and told him he needn’t be so rude to his wife. ‘He said that he was upsetting her when she was clearly happy to move her things. The husband was trying to diffuse the situation, to which Busta replied, ‘Let’s go homeboy’.”

Following the altercation, a passenger asked police to intercept Busta once the plane landed. Subsequently, Busta was escorted off the plane by waiting Metropolitan Police officers.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers at Heathrow were requested by the airline of an inbound plane to Heathrow Airport from the US to attend following an alleged verbal altercation involving several passengers.”

However, Busta wasn’t arrested and went on with his scheduled shows.

Pop stars Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were spotted in a heated PDA session while hanging out in Miami.

The two have been seen making out everywhere—from a cafe in Oakland to a bookstore in Tampa, to a beach in Miami, Cosmopolitan reported. Though the couple has not made it Instagram official, they haven’t been shy with their PDA in front of fans and the paparazzi. The pop stars, who recently collaborated on the track “Señorita,” first sparked dating rumors earlier this season when they were spotted in Tampa holding hands and ‘getting cozy together.’

Camila has been following Shawn on tour. He just played his Tampa and Miami shows this past weekend and is set to play in Orlando tonight. Their PDA-filled session at a public beach in Miami came during his day off from performing.

What’s more, E News reported that Cabello brought her mother, father, and sister to Shawn’s last show in Miami this weekend. A source told E that “They’ve known each other and been a part of each other’s lives for a while so it’s all very natural and moving quickly,” the source said, “The timing wasn’t right before but it is right right now…” This explains why Camila has been traveling with Mendes while he’s on tour. “Neither of them want to be away from each other. She has the opportunity to be there with him and she’s taking it.”

It’s certainly not the norm for new couples in Hollywood to be so open with their romance. Shawn Mendes has been linked to Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey Baldwin in the past but they never actually confirmed their relationship before walking the red carpet together at the Met Gala.

It’s official. “Old Town Road” just became a record-breaking hit with the longest-running stint at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Billboard announced Monday that Lil Nas X‘s hit debut single featuring country legend Billy Ray Cyrus surpassed the record for weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 charts, spending an unprecedented 17 weeks at the top. “Old Town Road” beat out the previous record of 16 weeks at No. 1 that was held first by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day,” and later matched by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber in 2017, according to Billboard.

The song has been dominating the Billboard charts since the remix was released back in April. Lil Nas X reacted to the news on Twitter, sending out a “YEEE TF HAWWW,” followed up by a lengthy Instagram caption reflecting on his seemingly overnight journey to success.

“Last year in October, as a struggling artist starting to lose faith in what I could be, I went looking for beats on Youtube. I remember clicking on so many generic sounding beats trying to find the right one for me. When suddenly I came across a country-trap sounding masterpiece,” Lil Nas said under a photo of he and Billy Ray Cyrus in the studio.

The country-trap star, born Montero Lamar Hill, said last year he was on the verge of getting kicked out of his sister’s house, a situation that gave him inspiration for the song that would become the biggest hit single to date.

“I jokingly/seriously saw myself as a loner cowboy needing to run away from it all! I went out on my sister’s back porch and listened to the beat OVER & OVER & OVER!! Then it came to me!! In my best singing voice I sung “YEAHHH I’M GONNA TAKE MY HORSE TO THE OLD TOWN ROAD I’M GONNA RIDEEEE TIL I CANT NO MORE” I LOVED IT ALREADY! I started to work on it EVERY SINGLE DAY.”

His hard work paid off as that song began catching on throughout the internet before going viral. Still, it wasn’t until Billboard deemed it ineligible for the country chartsthat the song caught national attention, a stance that prompted Billy Ray Cyrus to hop on the remix. Old Town Road has been soaring ever since, and Lil Nas has dropped additional remixes including one featuring Young Thug and Mason Ramsey.

“Did I know it would become the longest running number 1 song of all time? NO!,” the 20-year-old Atlanta native continued. “But I am so thankful that this blessing has been placed upon me. This song has changed my life and the way I see the world.”

R. Kelly won’t be getting out on bail this time after his latest arrest on federal sex crime charges.

A judge ruled on Tuesday that the Chicago-born R&B icon will remain in custody while awaiting trial on charges of child pornography, obstruction of justice, and other federal charges related to his child sex crimes, according to CNN. R. Kelly pled not guilty to all 13 counts and is accused of conspiracy for allegedly paying money to recover videos of himself having sex with underage girls.

Assistant US Attorney Angel Krull said the 52-year-old singer was an extreme flight risk and a danger to minor girls especially. R. Kelly’s attorney continued to proclaim his innocence and told reporters he was disappointed with the judge’s decision to deny Kelly bail.

Last week, R. Kelly was arrested in Chicago on two separate federal grand jury indictments; one in Illinois and the other in New York. The singer is currently being held in a federal correction center in Chicago in solitary confinement, reports said.

The indictment alleged that Robert Kelly videotaped himself having sex with at least four minors starting in 1998. When he learned that some of the tapes went missing, he allegedly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to retrieve them. CNN reported that the indictment accused Kelly of going so far as making people take lie-detector tests to ensure they returned all copies of the tapes.

R. Kelly was also accused of setting up a trip abroad for a girl and her parents to evade law enforcement officials in 2002. He also allegedly bribed them with gifts for over a decade in order for them to lie to investigators. A separate indictment in New York accused the “Step in the Name of Love” singer of kidnapping, forced labor and other sex crimes involving women and girls starting in 1999.

In 2008, R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges that came after a graphic video showed a man, believed to be Kelly, having sex with a girl as young as 13. The girl in question then did not show up for the trial to testify against him. However, The New York Times reported Tuesday that that same girl might be cooperating in the current federal investigation against Kelly.

R. Kelly’s next hearing is set for September 4.

Chris Brown shared a special moment with Jamie Foxx’s younger sister, who has Down Syndrome while celebrating his latest number one album Indigo.

Foxx’s sister, 33-year-old DeOndra Dixon, was seen in a video posted to his Instagram Tuesday morning telling Chris Breezy “I love you.” Brown then leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. It looks as though Foxx, Chris Brown, and DeOndra were all in a studio session listening to Chris’s new project.

Back in August, the comedian/actor/singer opened up about his sister’s condition in an interview with Dateline NBC. He said that DeOndra taught him how to live, and that helps to keep him grounded. DeOndra lives with the 50-year-old icon in LA.

This isn’t the first time the Grammy and Oscar winner was seen with Chris Brown. In June Chris posted a photo of the two superstars together with the caption “ME AND BIG BRO COOKING,” leaving fans to guess that Jamie Foxx would make an appearance on Indigo. However as it turns out, Jamie Foxx did not have a feature on the album.

The two R&B singers have previously collaborated in the past. Chris Brown was featured on Jamie Foxx’s single “You Changed Me” in 2015 and Jamie hopping on “Text Message,” a single that Chris dropped in 2017.

And with this recent showing off how close Chris is with Jamie’s family, it’s clear the two have a special bond.

The rumors are heating up again that Chris Brown’s girlfriend Ammika Harris is pregnant with his child. The 30-year-old singer recently confirmed that Ammika is her boo,

Neither Chris Brown nor Ammika Harris has confirmed that they’re expecting a baby. Nevertheless, the singer has been dropping a lot of hints on social media. He recently commented on one of her photos, calling her “my baby mama.” Some of her recent photos also appear to be showing a baby bump photo.

Brown is already a proud father to his baby girl Royalty Brown, who recently turned 5. He and her mother, Nia Guzman, battled for custody for years before the judge ultimately sided with him. Now the pair have shared custody as well as a child support agreement in place.

The “No Guidance” singer made headlines this week when he disrespected Karrueche Tran’s boyfriend, Victor Cruz. “Peace love and joy. JUST PLEASE UPGRADE YA MAN BOO,” he wrote.

The R&B singer has been rumored to be pregnant for the past few weeks, and now she has broken her silence. In a post on her Instagram page, Cassie confirmed the reports are true and that she is expecting a baby girl. “Can’t wait to meet our baby girl Love You Always & Forever,” she wrote.

Alex Fine, whom she has been dating since the fall of last year, also confirmed that he is expecting his first child with Cassie. “Letter to my Daughter,” he wrote. “I will be the first man in your life and will show you the greatest love and affection now and forever. DJ Khaled is just like the rest of us; he is not always positive.

The We The Best Music Group chief allegedly had a massive meltdown when his new album, Father of Asahd, missed out on the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200. I’ve listened to the album, and it’s quite impressive so I can understand why he is angry that he never topped the chart last week. Instead, Father of Asahd debut at No. 2 on Billboard leaving the super producer/DJ fuming at his record label.

Tyler The Creator’s new album IGOR beat out DJ Khaled‘s Father of Asahd to debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200 last week. This week, FOA retained the number two spot as Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? climb to the No. 1 spot. You can understand why Khaled is angry.

According to PageSix, DJ Khaled stormed into Epic Records offices with his entourage and started yelling. Sources say he blamed the record label’s chief exec for not understanding how the streaming business work.

“He was furious,” the source said. “There was some nasty stuff said. Publicly, he’s all about ‘positivity,’ but there is a mean side to him that people don’t see. He overhyped the record and blew it up as his biggest album ever.”

Sources are now saying that Mavado has been quietly working on his own project for the past couple of months.

We’re told that the singjay is putting in the finishing touches on the yet to be announced album, due sometime later this year. “Gully Gad will destroy the game with this one the fans will love what he is working on now,” sources said.

Mavado is also expected to drop some international collaborations on the project. So far there is no title or release date set for the album which will be released under DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group.

While her fans are begging her to drop new music, Rihanna is busy building her business empire, which includes investment in makeup, lipstick, lingerie, and luxury fashion. Aside from her business moves over the last couple of years, Rihannaremains one of the biggest selling artists on the planet currently even though her last album was released in 2016. According to Forbes, the Bajan pop star’s net worth is now $600 million and growing exponentially, which means that she could be a billionaire in the next couple of years.

Rihanna and LVMH will soon start putting out clothes, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories. JAY-Z is officially the first billionaire rapper.

For years, Diddy and JAY-Z have been going neck on neck in their race to a billion dollars net worth, until Dr. Dre joined them two years ago. Forbes is now reporting that Hov is the first hip hop artist to cross the billion-dollar mark and the rap titan did it through a plethora of business investments, touring, and music sales. His empire includes investments in art, liquor, real estate, and other investments.

Back in 2007, JAY-Z sold his clothing brand Rocawear to Iconix for $204 million. His current assets includes $310 million in Armand de Brignac champagne, investment in TIDAL worth $100 million, $75 million from Roc Nation, his music catalog is worth $75 million, he has $70 million in art collection, $50 million in real estate, and $220 million investment in Uber. JAY-Z’s real estate holdings include a $88 million Bel-Air estate and a $26 million East Hampton mansion.

DJ Khaled was one of the last persons that Nipsey Hussle worked with before his death.

DJ Khaled was so moved by Nipsey Hussle that he is donating all the profits from his “Higher” video to the late rapper’s kids.

The We The Best Music Group chief and the Crenshaw rapper link up just days before he was shot and killed to record the new single and shoot the music video.

According to Khaled, he spoke with Nipsey Hussle family about his wishes, and they gave him their blessing to go ahead and donate all proceeds from the single to the rapper’s kids. Nipsey has a 10-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old baby boy with Lauren London.

“Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years,” Khaled wrote. “It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother, a father, a partner and my friend, Nipsey Hussle.”

Buju Banton post-prison album is on the way.

The Grammy-winning reggae singer has been busy touring on his “Long Walk To Freedom” tour, but in between shows he found some time to record some new music. Last week, Buju Banton released his first solo single, “Country For Sale,” since leaving prison in December last year.

The track debut at the top of the iTunes reggae chart and has been a huge hit among reggae/dancehall fans who are now hungry for more new music.

The song’s producer, Donovan Germain, who is also a longtime friend and mentor of Buju Banton, confirmed that the singer is working on a new body of work due by the end of the summer. Germain says that Buju recorded four singles and he decided to release “Country For Sale” first. The veteran producer also revealed that the two are putting together an album due between August and September of this year.

“We are trying to get the album ready for this year,” Germain told the Observer. “Like I said he has recorded quite a bit of music and so we are looking at August/September for the album. This song is something that should keep us out there until that is ready; however, we might just drop a deejay tune to satisfy that section of his fan base.”

Buju Banton recently performed at three massive concerts in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados. He also has a couple of upcoming shows in Europe and Africa, but so far there are no shows in the United States and Canada since he is not cleared to travel to those countries due to his drug conviction.

The Gargamel will be performing this weekend in Spice Isle, Grenada before moving on to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

Buju Banton’s last album, Before The Dawn, was released in 2010. That project earned him a Grammy award in 2011.

Christopher Martin is now a Puma ambassador.

The dancehall singer recently signed a new deal with the sportswear giant which will see him representing the brand on a global scale. Christopher Martin burst onto the music scene 15 years ago when he won the Digicel Rising Star talent show.

He went on to become a hugely successful artist locally and overseas where his music is in heavy rotation on radios and dancehall parties.

Martin says the feeling is great to know that he grew his brand so big that he is now representing a company like Puma. “It’s a welcoming and wonderful feeling to see that brand Christopher Martin has been growing on such a global scale that it is now teaming up with an internationally known brand such as PUMA,” Martin said.

The singer continues, “It continues to speak volumes that we are doing some things along the right path, and I will represent PUMA as best I can.”

Christopher Martin, 32, has a number of hits under his belt including, Chill Spot, Cheater’s Prayer, Mama, Take My Wings, and the massive hit “Big Deal.”

Usher’s $20 million herpes case is officially closed.

The R&B icon settled the case brought against him by Laura Helm out of court.

Helm filed legal docs to have the case dismissed after her legal team and Usher reached a settlement on their second attempt. TMZ reported that lawyers representing both parties revealed that the case was settled amicably without prejudice, which means that she can’t refile another lawsuit in the future. This is usually the case whenever there is a monetary settlement.

Laura Helm initially filed a $10 million in 2017 after learning that Usher has herpes and didn’t disclose it to her before they had unprotected sex.

She claimed that he not only exposed her to the virus but also caused her emotional harm, so she filed additional legal documents increasing the amount to $20 million for her troubles.

The settlement amount was not disclosed, but clearly, she is satisfied since she filed to dismiss the case.

Usher is facing other lawsuits related to his herpes situation, but so far at least one case is behind him.

It's been two weeks since Adele and Simon Konecki announced they'd split and are getting a divorce.

When they told the public, Adele's reps said she and Simon are committed to raising their 6-year-old son together and won't be commenting on it. However, that was the old Adele, because May 2019 Adele just posted the most hilarious meme that seems to be addressing the breakup.

This afternoon, the Grammy winner took to Instagram to post a photo of herself crying next to a different pic of her getting her life during her Carpool Karaoke episode. The caption at the top of the two photos was truly savage and said, "When you catch yourself in your feelings then you remember who you are."

Now, considering Adele just broke up with the guy she's been with for eight years, it's totally understandable that she'd be all in her feelings, channeling that Ariana Grande "thank u, next" energy.

But since Adele didn't caption her Insta post, we can't be absolutely positive she's talking about her divorce. Last week, People and E! sources said Adele and Simon decided to split because her work schedule became too hectic. Remy Ma was released from police custody after posting her bail.

The Love and Hip Hop: New York star turned herself in to police on Wednesday for allegedly punching Brittney Taylor at a concert last month in NYC.

Remy Ma was charged with misdemeanor assault and her bond set at $1,500, which she paid in cash. The Terror Squad rapper and her husband Papoose were spotted leaving court on Wednesday afternoon, but they remained tight-lipped about the case.

Remy Ma might be out of jail, but her legal troubles may just be getting started.

Sources say Brittney Taylor is gearing up to file a lawsuit against her former Love and Hip Hop: New York co-star.

Last month, Taylor posted a video showing her injuries while telling her followers on IG that Remy Ma is responsible for her black eye. She told law enforcement that the rapper punched her backstage the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at the Irving Plaza on April 16th. She also claimed that she had to seek medical treatment.

Taylor has since hired attorney Sanford Rubenstein who requested that the police department preserve all the evidence involved in the case including video footage.

Did Blak Ryno fake his own death to promote his new music?

The biggest news in dancehall this week is the Blak Ryno death/hospitalization. On Tuesday, news spread like wildfire throughout the dancehall community that the dancehall deejay died from a crash. A rep for the Stinga deejay later told Urban Islandz that he was involved in an accident in New York early Tuesday morning and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Several other media outlets get similar information so we all can’t be wrong.

Blak Ryno waited almost four days to release a video on Instagram saying that the whole thing was a lie and that the news didn’t come from anyone inside his camp. We all know that the media heavily rely on confidential sources for information from time to time, so Urban Islandz won’t reveal the name of our source. However, we can confirm that he came from high up in Blak Ryno’s team and get this, this source has gone crickets since the deejay posted the video.

In his video, Ryno also called out Vloggers for spreading the news that he had died, and while it’s true that a few of the dancehall Vloggers on YouTube don’t do their due diligence, you can’t blame them all. Additionally, Blak Ryno is to be blamed for waiting days to address the reports especially since producers who he is working with and his fans started worrying about his well-being and could not get in contact with him.

One producer, who requested anonymity, told Urban Islandz that he shed tears when he heard the news and that he could not reach Blak Ryno or anyone on his team for days, so he believed the story was true.

“As someone who know Blak Ryno from Gaza days, this whole thing upset me because me she real tears when me hear the news,” the producer told us. “The man should’ve addressed this the same day because if nothing is wrong with you and you have phone and internet so you have no excuse.”

Ryno fans have also been sounding off about the publicity stunt that he pulled off.

“The publicly stunt never work why a now u come clear the air u want some rass lick,” one fan wrote while another added, “Yes ryno we hear you but you need to address this in a more manly manner because its coming from your own family or friend Puffy who says that he got a call at 4am, so don’t come blaming people blame whosoever told puffy and then puffy run with it.”

Nipsey Hussle shooting victim, Kerry Lathan, was released from jail.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the 56-year-old, who was shot on March 31st, was released from jail nearly two weeks after he was arrested for being associated with a “known gang member.” Lathan was arrested after getting treatment at a hospital for gunshot wounds and then release. The Sheriff’s Department website listed his released date as Saturday, April 20th, twelve days after he was taken into custody.

Lathan’s attorney, Lauren Noriega, says that her client was merely an innocent bystander who almost got killed in the same shooting incident that claims the life of beloved rapper Nipsey Hussle. She also dispelled previous reports claiming that Lathan was at The Marathon clothing store to collect clothing from Nipsey Hussleafter being released from prison recently.

“He wasn’t there to propose any business to Nipsey,” Noriega told KABC-TV. “He had no idea that Nipsey would be there.”

Kerry Lathan previously did an interview with VLAD TV where he expressed what went down on the day of the shooting. He revealed that it was a chance encounter he had with Nipsey Hussle because he was at the store to purchase clothing.

“When I go in there, they didn’t have the white [shirts] that I wanted. I said, ‘When y’all gon’ get that in again?’ He said, ‘Well, there go Nipsey in the lot. Go talk to him.’ And I talked to him,” Lathan said in the interview.

Buju Banton gets an apology from Trinidad’s Police Commissioner Gary Griffith.

On Saturday, Buju Banton, real name Mark Myrie, stunned the world when he revealed via Instagram that cops in Trinidad paid a visit to his hotel room with a search warrant. He allowed them to search the room and they came up empty-handed. The running with law enforcement angered the Grammy-winning reggae singer and his fans who blast T&T cops on social media. Commissioner Gary Griffith visited the singer inside his hotel room on Saturday night to personally apologize for what happened.

Banton also confirmed that representatives from the Jamaican consulate in Trinidad also met with him. “After viral posting, the Trinidadian Commissioner of Police and Representative of the Jamaican consulate paid me a visit to issue an apology on behalf of the Trinidadian Police Department,” the Gargamel wrote. “I will not let this issue affect my love for the Trinidadian people or me as I move forward to have a wonderful night tomorrow. Trini we’re still on track love to my Trini family.”

Buju Banton made it clear that the situation will not deter him and his band from performing at the “I Am Legend” concert at the Queen’s Park Savannah tonight. Thousands of fans are expected to converge on the arena to see the reggae star perform live in Trinidad for the first time in a decade.

Aidonia is lucky to be alive following a serious car crash.

The dancehall escaped from a car accident last night with only minor injuries.

Sources confirmed with Urban Islandz that his Mercedes-Benz GLE63 SUV was totaled in the crash that took place along Mannings Hill Road, St. Andrew. The full details surrounding the accident is not yet known, but we obtained below video which shows the aftermath. You can hear a female in the background saying that Aidonia is lucky to be alive and judging from the damage of his vehicle, her assessment is correct.

We’re told that Aidonia sought medical attention for minor scratches and was a bit shaken up as a result of the crash.

The 4th Genna deejay is getting a lot of support from his fans in the wake of his car accident. “Get well soon Diddy am praying for a speedy recovery, and we’re all happy that you’re doing okay this could’ve been so much worst thank you Jah,” one fan wrote.

“Thank you got for protecting Aidonia get well soon baby I love you,” one female fan wrote.

Aidonia purchased his Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S coupe SUV approximately a year ago. At the time he said that he was the first person in Jamaica to have one of the sporty SUVs.

Elephant Man is alive and well despite rumors claiming that the dancehall deejay drowned.

Yesterday news spread like wildfire on social media claiming that Elephant Manwas found drowned. It turns out that the dancehall star was only shooting a music video for his single “Steep Pan.” The dancehall deejay released a few shots from the video shoot from a scene that shows him laying down on his back in the sand on a beach.

A part of the narrative is that his body was washed up a shore close to drowning. A female would then found him and performed CPR.

It seems that someone started circulating an image from the clip while claiming that Elephant Man had drowned which sent his fans into a panic. “People I am alive and well it’s just a video shoot look out for it,” Ele said.

Talk show host Wendy Williams is divorcing her husband of 21 years. On her show Thursday, Williams wasn't wearing her wedding ring and in a social media post by her makeup artist there was also no ring on the host’s finger. A spokesperson released a statement Thursday saying, “We respect their privacy regarding personal matters,” after asked by Inside Edition about the divorce. The dancehall diva has canceled a few shows recently, and now she is announcing that she is canceling some more tour dates due to a vocal cord trauma. Her shows in London and Birmingham are two that were put on the chopping block.

Last week Shenseea confirmed that she has been dealing with an unnamed illness and caused her to be stress, but this is the first time that she is revealing the nature of it.

“So this is my reason for my continuous stress,” she wrote. “ATM i’m suffering from Vocal Cord Trauma.

Haven’t been able to record a song in 4 weeks and because i been non stop pushing it my voice started to fail me whilst on stage performing cuz i really wasn’t taking it seriously. I really don’t wanna get to the point where i have to do surgery or lose my voice completely so I have no choice but to be canceling some of my shows.”

Vybz Kartel was released from the hospital and taken back to prison.

Adidja Palmer, Vybz Kartel‘s government name, gave his fans a scare today when he suddenly fell ill. Sources have now confirmed with Urban Islandz that the dancehall deejay was released from the University Hospital of the West Indies moments ago and whisk away to prison. We’re told that he was taken to the hospital on Sunday and admitted in stable condition for a lingering thyroid issue.

Kartel’s attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson, told reporters that the deejay is not in any danger at this time. “He has a thyroid issue. He had a crisis,” Tavares-Finson said. “He was admitted to the UHWI on Sunday. The crisis has been brought under control. He’s not in danger at this time.”

Koffee has announced the release date and artwork for her debut EP, Raptured.

Teenage reggae/dancehall sensation Koffee is currently one of the hottest new acts in the crowded Jamaican music space. Her breakout single “Toast” is currently the most popular reggae song on the planet. The 19-year-old singer/songwriter unveiled the cover art for her first EP on Instagram. She has been working on the project for the past year, and now fans will get their chance to hear it on March 14.

“My EP, Rapture will be released on March 14 featuring two brand new tracks, Blazin’ and Rapture you can pre-order my signed vinyl. Link in bio. #gratitudeisamust,” she said.

Raptured was initially slated for release on February 8, but was postponed over some production delays. Born Mikayla Simpson, Koffee is started writing music in her bedroom after school from a young age. She named reggae star Protoje and dancehall legend Supercat as her biggest inspiration.

The EP will come with five tracks, “Throne,” “Blazin,” “Raggamuffin,” “Raptured,” and “Toast.”

Vybz Kartel music could get these two cops fired from the force.

A video clip of two Jamaican cops went viral over the past couple of days. The short clip shows a male police officer with a female cop riding shotgun while listening to Stylo G’s “Touch Down (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj and Vybz Kartel. The camera was rolling when Kartel’s verse was on, and the female cops spit all the lewd lyrics on cue.

The communications armed of the police force has confirmed that the video has since made its way to the high command who have since launched an investigation to determine whether or not the two officers broke any law or breached any department policy.

Some viewers have been voicing their concerns on whether or not the video is appropriate and how law enforcement officials should conduct themselves while on the job. “Nothing about this is funny, and all of you who are laughing are supporting this slackness from our police officers. Like seriously is this how our tax dollars are being spent?” one female commented.

A civilian may have also been in the squad car while the officers were filming and listening to the music. Vybz Kartel is currently serving life in prison for murder, which also makes him public enemy when it comes to the police force.

Kartel’s attorney argued during the 2014 trial and his appeal trial last summer that police officers tampered with evidence used to convict him. The dancehall star is now awaiting the verdict in the appeal.

Sources told Urban Islandz that the two officers in question could face disciplinary actions over the video posted on social media. The Jamaica Constabulary Force has specific policies geared towards what cops can and cannot post on their social media accounts whether on or off duty.

Sean Paul is about to be a father again.

The dancehall legend and his wife Jodi “Jinx” Henriques are expecting their second child together.

The couple made the announcement over the weekend on their Instagram account. The couple already has a 2-year-old baby boy name, Levi Blaze Henriques. SP and Jinx got married in May 2012 after dating for several years. The couple welcomed their first child in 2017 and their second is expected in August of 2019.

Last year was the 30th anniversary of John Landis' Coming To America - and looking back, it's a film worth celebrating. Because of the reverence felt towards it, there has long been demand for a follow-up, official word the sequel will be coming our way on August 7, 2020. Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as Prince Akeem in Coming To America 2, and the story will apparently begin with him living back at home in Zamunda. The plot of the sequel will revolve around him discovering that he has a son who is living in America, and given that he will end up being the heir to his throne, Akeem travels back to the United States to meet him. The original Coming To America, in addition to featuring Eddie Murphy in multiple roles, featured an awesome cast that also includes James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall, Shari Headley, Eriq La Salle, and John Amos. It's unclear right now who will be joining Eddie Murphy in the follow-up, but that will surely be news we hear about in the coming weeks and months.

The New Orleans rapper finally posted his $3 million bail after being behind bars for 18 months.

Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was arrested in August 2017 and later charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. A Louisiana judge set his bail at a whopping $3 million forcing the rapper to remain behind bars all this time. He walked out of a Louisiana prison on Tuesday afternoon after finally being able to post bail.

TMZ reported that Mystikal raised funds through the help of a new record deal and with the help of family and friends. Last year, the NOLA rapper secured a three-album record deal with a label. At the time, his attorneys were hopeful that he would receive an advance for the deal which would ultimately help him to raise the $3 million needed for his bond.

“It’s been a long time coming for Mike, but now he can get back to being the artist he is, doing what he loves, and seeing his kids again,” Mystikal’s attorney, Joel Pearce, said.

Pearce noted that the legal team has enough evidence to win the case, but he believes that an amicable resolution will be reached sometime soon and Tyler will never go back to jail.

R. Kelly, whose career is reeling from the longstanding sexual-misconduct allegations presented in Lifetime’s harrowing documentary “Surviving R. Kelly,” has announced tour dates nearly as far as geographically possible from the United States: in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

No dates or venues were listed — simply that the tour is “coming soon” — but the promoter is a Melbourne, Australia-based entertainment company called Flamingo Dreamz (formerly known as Sin City) that in the past has promoted tours in the region by Ja Rule (whose career is also facing challenges connected to his executive-producer role in the disastrous 2017 Fyre Festival), Ciara, rapper Twista, DJ Erick Morillo and others. The company did not immediately respond to Variety’s request for comment.

Kelly has two tour dates in Germany scheduled for April, which are promoted by the German company live-entertainment and ticketing company Eventim.

While multiple detailed allegations of sexually abusive behavior by Kelly toward young women date back more than 20 years, he has never been convicted of a crime and he has consistently denied any wrongdoing; the singer was charged with child pornography in 2000 after a video surfaced that purported to show him having sex with an underage woman, but the woman refused to testify and he was acquitted in 2008. Regardless, the outcry that followed “Surviving R. Kelly” — which placed the accusations into stark relief — was strong enough to lead his longtime record label, RCA, to part company with him on Jan. 18 (RCA did not make a public announcement about the move, although it removed Kelly from its website on that day). Live Nation, his most recent promoter in the U.S., told Variety that it has not worked directly with him in many years, although it did occasionally do one-off concerts with him via regional promoters, but “not for more than a year.”

Most of Kelly’s scheduled concerts in the U.S. in the past couple of years have been cancelled due to public outcry and/or poor ticket sales.

It’s Tyra Banks’ world, and now we all can live in it ... or at least stop by for an afternoon.

The model-turned-businesswoman announced on Tuesday that she is set to open Modelland, a 21,000-square-foot, multilevel theme park in Santa Monica, California, to “bring modeling to the masses.”

The permanent attraction, which is preparing to open its doors at the Santa Monica Place shopping mall sometime in late 2019, has apparently been in the works for a decade and might well be the former talk show host’s crowning achievement.

“I created [the TV show “America’s Next Top Model”] to expand the definition of beauty based on my own pain of being told ‘no’ that I couldn’t do something because I’m curvy or I’m black,” Banks told Women’s Wear Daily. “My empathy for women in general increased through the experience. And now with Modelland, I’m taking it 10 steps forward, giving people the opportunity to engage with the elusive world by opening it up to everyone.”

Banks, who faced discrimination at the onset on her career, has more recently sought to pull back the curtain on the world of modeling. She built “America’s Next Top Model” into an international reality TV franchise that plucks young women and men from obscurity and thrusts them into the limelight.

All those who enter Modelland will become “the dream version of themselves,” Banks told WWD. She said she was inspired by attractions like Disneyland and Universal Studios and hopes to go global with the concept.

“Modelland is going to be a place where the modeling world meets fantasy, meets entertainment, meets technology, meets retail, meets dining, meets … your fiercest best self you could ever imagine,” she told Variety.

Visitors will choose from such entertainment options as high-end dining, retail and an “elevated social media component” that will celebrate all types of beauty.

Banks’ latest venture is also inspired by her poorly received 2010 young adult fantasy novel of the same name, which boasted characters with names like Tookie De La Crème who attended the Modelland boarding school.

Chronixx and Etana will be performing with Buju Banton in Kingston in March.

Buju Banton added a bunch of local acts to his highly anticipated post-prison concert at the National Stadium in Jamaica on March 16.

The Gargamel will be joined on stage by artists like Chronixx, Etana, Romain Virgo, Ghost, Cocoa Tea, Agent Sasco, LUST, Delly Ranks, and more to be announced later. Of course, the main act will be the Gargamel himself who will perform a 90-minute set for his fans.

The concert will be the first show on Buju Banton’s “Long Walk To Freedom Tour.” Buju’s son Jahzeil, who recently launched his music career, will also perform at the show. “These are the ones performing, but the ‘and friends’ is still there,” the singer’s publicist, Ronnie Tomlinson, revealed.

Buju Banton has been very hands-on in helping to organize the concert and picking the acts whom he wants to perform with him. Tomlinson says the Grammy-winning singer is in high spirit and is looking forward to performing for his local fans.

“We know he’s looking forward to a 90-minute set, but there might be more time based on conversations we’ve had,” Tomlinson added.

Buju Banton is currently rehearsing for the concert, and there are some talks that reggae lovers rock crooner Beres Hammond will be on the lineup.

Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated R&B star James Ingram has died. His death was confirmed by longtime friend Debbie Allen, who said on Twitter that she has lost her “dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir.” TMZ says that Ingram died from brain cancer, though an official cause of death has not been released. Ingram was 66.

Over his decades-long career, Ingram landed several number-one hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, first with his 1982 Patti Austin duet “Baby, Come To Me” and then in 1990 with “I Don’t Have The Heart.” Though he had already been a working musician for a decade at that point, the success of tracks like those made him one of the top R&B stars of the late-’80s and early-’90s. This helped Ingram land a number of high-profile collaborations, like co-writing Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)“ with Quincy Jones and recording “Yah Mo B There” with Michael McDonald—a record that earned Ingram one of his two Grammy wins. The other was for “One Hundred Ways” in 1982, and he also landed a dozen other nominations throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. Ingram even appeared on the legendary charity single “We Are The World.”

Meanwhile, Ingram also had a successful career doing soundtrack work, earning Oscar nominations for his soundtracks to Beethoven’s 2nd and Junior. One of his more lasting contributions to film, though, is the song “Somewhere Out There” from An American Tail, which he recorded with Linda Ronstadt. The song, which was written by James Horner, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, won a couple Grammys on its own, with Ronstadt and Ingram getting a nomination for their performance. The song was even nominated for an Oscar, though it lost to “Take My Breath Away” from Top Gun.

Ariana Grande is under fire once more for her new single, "7 Rings."

After being accused of stealing lyrics and flow from rapper Princess Nokia, rappers Soulja Boy and 2 Chainz have called out the former Nickelodeon starlet for allegedly biting their work for her latest track.

Soulja Boy was the most explicit in alleging that Grande, 25, stole from his song "Pretty Boy Swag."

He replied to a tweet in which Grande thanked her friends who were featured in the "7 Rings" video, writing, "Give me my credit. Period."

He followed up with, "Lol stop stealing my swag. Word."

He then wrote, "You're a thief."

Atlanta-based MC 2 Chainz, meanwhile, was quick to notice the similar visuals that the "7 Rings" music video shared with his "Door Swangin'" music video, both of which featured hot pink trap houses.

"Tryna figure out if I should Big Draco @arianagrande 🤣🤣... y’all tell me in the comments 🧐 #bigdracovibesall2019," 2 Chainz captioned an Instagram snippet of Grande's "7 Rings."

"Big Draco" is a nickname for Soulja Boy, who also previously accused rapper Drake of stealing his musical style.

In addition to her alleged appropriation of rappers' work, Grande also came under fire on Twitter for appropriating black culture.

She posted an Instagram story that read, "'You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it'… White women talking about their weaves is how we'e gonna solve racism."

The line referred to a lyric from "7 Rings."

When Instagram account The Shade Room posted a screenshot of Grande's racially insensitive remark, they wrote, "#ArianaGrande has fans upset because they feel she’s missing the point of the backlash."

Grande quickly commented, "Hi hi… I think her intention was to be like… yay a white person disassociating the negative [stereotype] that is paired with the word 'weave'… however I'm so sorry if my response was out of pocket or if it came across the wrong way. Thanks for opening the conversation and like… to everyone for talking to me about it. It's never my intention to offend anybody."

Fatima Ali, the fan favorite of the previous season of Bravo's "Top Chef," died Friday after a nearly yearlong battle with cancer, the network said. She was 29.

Ali came in seventh on season 15 but won the Fan Favorite title when the season ended early last year. She was known for her "fun personality and excellent cooking" of food from her native Pakistan, Bravo said.

Ali publicly documented her battle with cancer since being diagnosed at the end of 2017 with Ewing's sarcoma, a type of bone and soft tissue cancer, Bravo said. She had chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumor and surrounding cells in her left shoulder in January 2018.

Doctors declared her cancer-free about a month later, the network said, but last October, Ali revealed in an online essay that her cancer was "back with a vengeance" and she had a year to live.

"It's funny, isn't it? When we think we have all the time in the world to live, we forget to indulge in the experiences of living," Ali wrote on the website Healthyish. "When that choice is yanked away from us, that's when we scramble to feel. I am desperate to overload my senses in the coming months, making reservations at the world's best restaurants, reaching out to past lovers and friends, and smothering my family, giving them the time that I so selfishly guarded before."

Ali posted pictures of herself during cancer treatment on her Instagram page, sharing her struggle with fatigue even as she flashed a warm smile. She also continued posting pictures of appetizing food, from lamb koftas and kebabs to New York pizza and Korean barbecue.

Her fellow "Top Chef" contestants posted tributes to Ali on Friday. They included chef Bruce Kalman, who wrote, "I will miss you Fati, and you will be in my heart forever. I'll always remember the great times we had."

Superstar reggae artiste Buju Banton has established a foundation which aims to ensure that at-risk youths, from newborn to 20 years old, have equal opportunities to succeed, through skills training and educational opportunities, according to news reports.

“Born in abject poverty, I know what it is for a child to go without basic necessities. I also know what it is to be a youth with big dreams and lots of determination,” the Grammy-winning artiste said in a media statement.

Buju, whose given name is Mark Myrie, said that many youths are daunted and are unable to achieve their destiny due to lack of a helping hand. He said the foundation will assist through provision of food, clothing, healthcare and education.

“Jah has blessed me. I have made it my mission, through the Buju Banton Foundation, to help by giving light to youth living in the darkness of poverty,” he said.

The Buju Banton Foundation was founded as a public charity in 2019.

The foundation initiatives is to implement programs that will provide skills training, talent development, educational empowerment, and other sustainable assistance to youth in Jamaica.

Juelz Santana and Kimbella wasted no time to get married.

The former Dipset rapper was sentenced to 27 months in prison for carrying a loaded gun to an airport, but before going off to jail, he makes sure to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Kimbella. Juelz Santana and Kimbella got married this week at a private ceremony in New Jersey.

The couple has been together for nearly a decade and shared two children, a son name Juelz, and a daughter named Bella.

Santana proposed to Kimbella in the middle of his set at the Apollo Theater in New York on November 23, 2018. His fellow Dipset group mate Cam’ron was there, and he captured the entire thing on camera all while Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey looked on.

Juelz Santana will be spending some time behind bars, two and a half years to be exact.

In March last year, TSA uncovered a loaded Derringer 38-caliber handgun in his luggage. The rapper fled the scene and turned himself in days later after an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest. He left his bag and identifications behind, and that’s how cops were able to identify him. A control substance was also found in his bag.

In August last year, Santana pleaded guilty to carrying a weapon on an aircraft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Rolling Stone reported. If he had gone to trial and convicted he would face over a decade in prison.

Cardi B and Offset have already rekindled their relationship.

The two rappers are now quietly working on their broken marriage after weeks of turmoil.

During the holidays, Cardi B and Offset were spotted in the Caribbean on vacation after he pleaded with her to spend Christmas with him. TMZ has reported that the pair is back on good terms but not fully back together. The site reported that they both regularly talk to each other and are focusing on fixing their marriage.

Offset has vowed to change his ways and desperately want to get back his wife, while Cardi B really misses the Migos rapper and want them to be a family again.

In one of her recent Instagram Live sessions, Cardi explained that she went on vacation with Offset because she “had to get f***.” She was very vocal and straightforward that she misses his eggplant. It’s now evident that she is running back to him with open arms and still has some reservations about his cheating ways.

The couple didn’t spend New Years together because Cardi B was touring in New Zealand and Offset was performing with Migos in Miami.
